Tuberculosis (TB) is a worldwide public health problem. The incident of TB is much higher in developing country including Bangladesh. World Health Organization estimate

that approximately 570 000 people are currently suffering from TB disease in Bangladesh. Every year more than 300 000 people develop TB and 66 000 TB-related deaths occur in Bangladesh. Giving high priority to TB control, the government of Bangladesh introduced DOTS, Internationally recommended stage for TB control, in 1993. It is mentioned that TB control service are available throughout the entire country and that the national TB control program has achieved 91% treatment success and 71% case detection through joint effort of GOB and development partners. Now the challenges are to sustain these achievements and maintain the quality of service.
