山村教师 Teacher in Mountain Village
毛羽山小学，是坐落于甘肃省南部崇山峻岭中的一所小学校。由于学校太偏远，公办老师大都不愿意到这里来教书，所以毛羽山小学的三个老师中，有两个是民办教师。
这些教师有着繁重的教学任务，但却只有很微薄的报酬。 他们在忍受着物质生活上的艰辛外，还要忍受由于环境
的闭塞而造成的文化生活的极度贫乏，和精神上的巨大寂寞。
目前中国仍有数以千计的和毛羽山小学一样的山村小学，仍有数以万计的和毛羽山小学教师一样的山村教师。Maoyushan Primary School is
located in the remote area in southern Gansu province, China. Two of three
teachers in the school are invited by the mountain villagers, as most teachers
of state-funded schools hardly would like to work here. In contrast to the heavy
teaching tasks, these teachers only get little income. They not only have to put
up with the hardships of lacking material comfort, but also the emptiness and
loneliness of the mind due to the geographical confinement. Maoyushan Primary
School is not the single case. So far, there are thousands of such primary
schools and tens of thousands of such rural teachers in the backward and remote
regions of China.
ES10-01：毛羽山小学民办教师王实明在给学生上课。毛羽山小学共有三位老师，48个学生。Wang Shiming, unregistered
teacher in Maoyushan School, gives a class to students. There are totally three
teachers and 48 students at Maoyushan Primary School.
ES10-02：山村小学的早操。Students do morning exercises in school.
ES10-03：毛羽山小学教师成德元老先生。成老师今年60岁，教龄35岁。The 60-year-old Cheng Yuande , a teacher
of Maoyushan Primary School, write on blackboars during a class. He has been a
teacher for 35 years.
ES10-04：黑板擦。The blackboard eraser is seen in the classroom.
ES10-05：阳光透过了教室的玻璃窗。Students have class in the classroom.
ES10-06：毛羽山小学民办教师王实明走在回家的路上。村学能给王老师的工资太少，就把一根木头送给他作为的补偿。周末回家时，王实明愣是扛着这根百十斤重的木头，爬了好几座大山，走了几十里的山路，将它带回了家。
Wang Shiming carries a heavy log, which was given by the villagers as to make up
for the pittance from Wang's teaching, on his way back home.
ES10-07：毛羽山小学的三位老师里，有两位是民办教师，虽然他们都教了几十年的书，但每个月只有几十元的工资。所以每次回到家里，他们还和家人一起去干农活，这样才能养活自己。Two
of the three teachers are not from state-run schools. Although they've been
teaching for decades, they are only paid a few dozen yuan per month. Therefore
they have to work in the fields with their families to earn a living when they
come back home.
ES10-08：毛羽山小学的民办教师杨学军在给学生上课。杨学军高中毕业后就到山里当起了老师，这一当就是二十八年。杨老师除了教语文、数学外，还兼体育、音乐课的老师。Yang
Xuejun gives a class to the students. Yang Xuejun had been teaching here for 28
years. Yang teaches Chinese, mathematics music, as well as PE.
ES10-09：教师王实明在生火做饭。Wang Shiming makes a fire to cook.
ES10-10：从学校去乡里，要走四五个小时的山路。从学校去县里，要走七八个小时的山路。从学校去家里，则要走十个小时的山路。It takes four
or five hours to walk the mountain pass from the school to the village, seven or
eight hours from the school to the county, and ten hours from the school to
Wang's home. |
