Senior reporter of People¡¯s Daily and Vice
Chairman of China Photojournalists Society.
Born in 1952 in Dandong,
northeastern China¡¯s Liaoning province, he joined
the army in 1969, and then went to the China Renmin University with a Master¡¯s
degree in journalism in 1985. He stayed to teach photography, and then work in
People¡¯s Daily since 1990. He has published several thousand works in various
papers and magazines, and is a frequent goer to award ceremony of photo
contests. He was on the judging panel for China Press Award and China Golden
Images Award several times.
