 Zhao Derun
Born in Changchun, capital of the northeastern
China¡¯s Jilin province. Chairman of the 4th CHIPP, he is awarded the Nati
onal
Expert who made outstanding contribution within his field. He is also a winner
of China Taofen Award, the highest award for news editing in China.
Graduated from the Philosophy School of Peking University in 1970, he
first worked in Xingtai Daily in Hebei province, and then in Xinhua News Agency
in 1975. From 1992 to 2003, he was the chief of Henan Bureau, Xinhua News
Agency. In July 2003, he was appointed the vice editor-in-chief of Guangming
Daily. He is now the executive chairman of China Photojournalists Society and
CEO of China News Photo Net.
